Cant send and receive email

I recently built a system for my neighbor and I have come across a new problem. I cannot send or receive emails in outlook xp (2002). It give me this message os something not found or missing. The neighbors ISP is earthlink and their ineternet speed is dsl. Any ideas. Thanks. Oh Ive tried to remove their email account and add it back in but nothing. Should I reinstall windows. Do you think some outlook file was deleted. thanks

Ring your/their ISP, and check there settings with your own in Outlook options, they tell you what they are and tell you where to check.
