Can´t see device manager

Here´s the thing...neither the USB ports nor the Sound Card are working. When I open the device manager to see what´s happening, there is no information on it. zip...nada!

Everything else seems to be working just fine, though I can´t see anything at all on the device manager window.

I´m using XP 64
