I added a 2nd hard drive to my PC last year. No problems. It went bad and I got a new drive.

When I added this time and booted into Windows, XP found the drive, added it and told me it was ready to be used. I could see it in Hardware Configuration, but not in the MY COMPUTER section. I removed the drive and readded it. Again, the same thing.

It's a Cable Select (CS) device. The jumpers are correct and the CS cable is correct (on the slave port). Again, the computer finds it, just can see it in MY COMPUTER>

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Mark

Have you partitioned and formatted it yet?
