I searched through the forums for some help with a similar problem but couldn't find an answer. It seems all of a sudden I can't run ipconfig (or tracert, netstate, ping etc) from my dos command prompt. The files are definitely there and I can run ipconfig if I change directories to windows\system32

I checked my environment variables and found they are set to
path = %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem
PATHEXT = .COM;.EXE;.BAT;.CMD;.VBS;.VBE;.JS;.JSE;.WSF;.WSH

I'm assuming that's allright. Thus I dont know how to solve the problem!! Can anyone help.

ps, I also have a env variable called CM_PATH, anyone else have this (*wondering if it has anything to do with my copy of champ manager*)

Thanks in advance

did you try to put your xp disk in and go to start run type in cmd

at the prompt type exactly with the space

sfc /scannow

see if that fixes it
