Have old dos program formtool database dos based program/copied files from a: floppy to c: formtool when i double click on the install icon it seems to want to switch to dos but doesn't and then gives error can't run dos on this system. I REMEBER running this program about a year ago probably with win 98 but upgraded to xp home. Need to be able to run this program has my templates for a project on it.
C an you help with some suggestions on how to let my laptop recognize this progam and let me install program so dos will run this program` Would it be possible to run it from the original floppy in A: drive if so can you assist with some instructions on how to install and run from my floopy drive. If impossible can you suggest a third party program that would let me run this program on my laptop in dos mode. Its a very simple database program don't have time to learn another one right now unless you can suggest a really simple one for windows that is straight forward` Can't understand it??

You did say that you previously had it running on XP. A lot of people are getting "DOS errors" these days because of spyware/adware. What is the exact error? If it mentions autoexec.nt, you should have a spare copy in windows\repair that you can copy into windows\system32. Or you can try the information in this link.
