I bought a new HP513n computer with XP home pre-installed at the factory. After getting it all set up I loaded Netscape 6.2 from a disk. All went well for about a week, mail worked great but now when I enter the mailbox and click on 'get mail' absolutely nothing happens, no error message, nothing, it's like the get mail button is broken. I checked mail preferences, filters, etc; all seem to be fine. I reloaded the Netscape program, same thing. My wifes computer running Win ME and Netscape gets the mail with no problem using the same phone line. What is happening here? Thanks, Rimfire.

Create a new Windows user account and try the Netscape setup there. If that works, you probably need to just create a new profile for your other user. Uninstalling Netscape doesn't get rid of all the configuration settings. You'd have to dump the user profile and make sure nothing got left in the Programs folder if you want to clear everything out. Anyway, try the other user account idea. If that doesn't work, start a new post and tell us what else you've tried...

Lucid, appreciate your reply, however I am severely computer challenged,(read stupid) and have no idea how to do what you have suggested. I have no idea of even where to look to find the old windows users account, thanks, rimfire.
