I made a post last night about a file, cdll.exe
that i thought was slowing down my internet browsing. WEll i did a virus scan today, and that was one of the files Norton found, but OFCOURSE Norton couldn't remove it. The reason being is because the file is always running. I can't delete it because of that. I started the computer in safe mode, but when it starts up, the process is running. There appears to be no way to get rid of it, i also tried what someone suggested, the movetoboot program, or whatever it was called, and it also didn't remove it. Any suggestions, any help at all is greatly appreciated. Also, thank you to anyone who replied to my other post

Also, Norton said the file is:
Adware.VirtueMonde

Reply:

goto mlin.net
download startup control panel and startup monitor
those should help in the elimination of this problem
also adaware from lavasoft
spybot search and destroy
spyware blaster
hijack this
and finally security task manager
all but the last are free or have free versions
hope this helps

ALWAYS read the user manuals BEFORE using software to prevent unwanted problems!
