Can't recognize my DVD-Rom

I have some prob on my dvd-rom, I put any disc on it, can't see my disc title & content in "My Computer->DVD-rom". I tried to remove the drive & IDE channel in "Device Manager". After I restart the pc it can recognize any disc but I turn off and start my OS the prob still occur. At last, I replaced other dvd-rom drive the prob can't fix....
