Comment:

I'm using Nero v5 to burn some cdr & cdrws to backup some files.

Except now windows explorer, my computer or just windows xp in general can't read my cd.
When i put the cd in my cdrom drive it asks me to insert a cd, implying that there is no cd in there.
When i try to open my cd in my bruner drive, its comes up as a blank cd.

What happened?
It used to work. About 2 months ago.
Could it to do with the new fan I just installed who's power cable is linked to the cd burner? (although I doubt this)

Depends how big the fan is! but yeah, doubtful. Have you tried rebooting since?

Maybe just roll back your system to the time it did work...about 2 months before...give that a shot

Do you have Nero verify the data on the disc after burning???

Were these the CDR's or the CDRW's that you burned that you cannot read? It is not unusual for a burned CDRW to show up blank in another drive. Let us know.
