Hello all, I am having a problem at work. We have a network set up at work and there is one printer that we can't print to unless we reboot the computer that has the main drivers on it. It shows the printer icon in the taskbar, but it never makes it to the printer. After a reboot of that computer, it prints fine.
The office computers are dell optiplex 320 with 1+ Gig RAM, 1.6 GHz dual core Intels. The printer is a HP Color Laserjet 2605dn.
I have the current drivers for the printer.
We have another printer set up on the network and everything prints fine to it all the time.
Any suggestions? All input is greatly appreciated!

The printer program needs to be reset. This means that the driversand software for that printer needs to be uninstalled and new updated drivers/software needs to be downloaded and installed.
You can get the drivers from HP > downloads/support > Color Laserjet 2605dn. and download them to the computer desktop.
Then uninstall the old stuff and reinstall the new. It will take some time to do this as HP drivers and software packages are fairly large....

How is the printer setup, is connected to the PC or is it sat on the network. The way you mention makes it sound as though it is connected to a PC. It would be easier to place it on the network and then install the print drivers on each PC?Tim

Crud, forgot to give the setup. The computer is networked. The drivers were put on one computer and then the printer was found through the network by the other computers and they pulled whatever drivers they needed.

A quick heads up on this, I changed my power settings on my computer to not go into standby or let the HDD spin down. I did this as the printer didn't work in the mornings when we got to the office.
It apparently was losing connection when the computer spun down, but wasn't reconnecting when we woke it up. Not sure why that is. Just wanted to share this bit with everyone.
