Can't print locally from a Terminal

Is there a way to print locally when logged in to a remote Windows XP Pro computer using Remote Desktop Connection? I am using a Windows XP Home computer with an HP printer connected to the USB port.
The printer doesn't show up on the remote machine and as a result I can't print what I need to from the remote session to my local printer.

The Remote machine is the one you are sitting at. You connect to the Host machine from the Client machine that is accessing another PC but remotely.
You might be able to see the local printer if you install the printer drivers on the Host machine. You would have to do this while physically located at the Host machine.
