Can't Play DVD'S

I can’t play DVD'S in Power DVD or Windows Media Player, when I try to it quits me to the desktop. I think I know why it is doing this. This is what I think; Power DVD and Windows Media Player are not compatible with SP1 for the simple reason is that it worked before SP1 was installed. Where can I get an update for Power DVD, and would installing Power DVD (NEW VERSION) and Windows Media Player 9 make this problem go away?
Thanks,
Matt
