I can't open any shortcut icon in desktop, but if I goto MyComputer then c: then application software that is work fine. I clean virus/spyware, update XP, and run SFC but the problem still in there. Thanks your help.

Bruce, Go to the link below and download the "LNK (Shortcut) File Association Fix". Download the ZIP and open it. Extract the REG file to your hard disk and double click it. Answer yes to the import prompt. LNK (Shortcut) File Association Fix
