Hello!

I recently downloaded an update, which is compressed with rar and splited into 1 mb parts. I downloaded all parts, but my winrar can't merge them. Message pop ups, that "file ended unexpectedly". It's some kind of crc error. Is it possible somehow to fix crc errors?

Check whether the rar has a "recovery record" by selecting one of the rar files, and pressing the 'info' icon in WinRAR. If there is one, then you can try repairing the archive , which will create a new rar called xxxxxx_repair.rar or something like that -- then move the corrupted rar to another folder, and rename the _repair rar to what it should be. Then try unrarring it again.

But the problem might very well be, that you're using an older version of WinRAR than the one that was used to create it. The info tool should tell you which version you need to extract it.

If all the above fails, then it was probably just a bad download -- try again.

Hi MJ,

Since they were split into chunks, you need to put the pieces together.

copy /b my.r00+my.r01+my.r02 my.rar

Then you can use whatever rar tool you have.

If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.

I merged the parts, but now winrar shows me "CRC failed".

I'll try to download another copy

One or more of the RAR files is missing, or corrupt.
