Can't open pps files from Outlook E

I downloaded Powerpoint viewer from Microsofts website but can't figure associate the pps file type with it to open pps attachments from Outlook Express email. Is there a way or will I have to continue saving the attachments to open them?

Hi Tufenuf, I tried to do your Fix but can't get it to work. In my file types I have PPSM and PPSF and PPTM and PPTX (because I downloaded two different Powerpoint programs I think). Any other suggestions?

PatriciaD, If you downloaded and installed the PowerPoint Viewer you should have PPS and PPT file extensions under the File Types tab in Folder Options. I'd go into your Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and uninstall whichever Micorosft PowerPoint Viewer Program(s) and uninstall them. Then go to the link below and download then install the "PowerPoint Viewer 2003".
After you do that then see if you can open pps file attachments with your Outlook Express. If you still can't follow the instructions at the link in my first Response and use the "Automated fix - Using the PPSFix utility". Post back and here's the link again.
