hi all i cant open " My Computer " icon its always saying that there is an error , its driving me crazy and i cant open anything because of it . plz help MJ

Have you done the basics? update and run your antivirus update and run your antispyware run chkdsk /r run disk cleanup run defrag are there other icons that don't work? if you go off the start menu to my computer does it also not work? EXACTLY what is the error?

first i want to thank both of you when i double click on my computer icon a new window appear and its says that theres an error on it and they ask me to choose to send the error or to close the my computer window , that is my proplem thanks again MJ

Yeah, it'd help to know what the error is saying, unless it's just the typical Illegal Operation and forced closure. I'm guess that you've got some bad memory on your machine, and maybe a virus or malware that's preventing it from opening or causing a clash in the system code somewhere. Can you access My Computer through any other means? From the Start menu? From the run command? If so, it's probably malware clinging to the desktop and forcing problems when things try to open.
