Comment: I had the Dedler.2.AL virus on my computer and I removed it. Now, I can not open my C drive from My Computer. When I click on "Local Disk C:" it says: Program Not Found Windows cannot find intall.exe This program is needed for opening files of type 'File'.

Reply: (edit)Aingaran If the Virus was in System Restore - and it may not have been - then your AV Program would presumably have informed you of that fact - although it would not be able to Remove it from there because Access is Denied to the Sys. Rest. Files If your AV Program did not indicate that the Virus was in the Sys. Rest. Files then you might as well do as 'u' says If you cannot access your C Drive anyway - then what have you to lose? - the chances are that the Virus was not in Sys.Rest Lesley

Reply: (edit)Suggest a repair instal. Boot with XP CD. bypass RecoveryConsole. Proceed with instal and select repair current. you should not lose files but will have to redo SP1/2 updates. Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and his wife will never forgive you.
