Hi, a friend has a new acer netbook, just got online yesterday and right off the bat, she cant open links from google searches, i know its not a virus, because its brand new. Any idea what would cause this?

Try the following: Close all open programs. Click Start>Run the copy & paste or type in: regsvr32 urlmon.dll Click OK. Restart the computer. Note that the spacing is important. Tufenuf

i was playing around with this netbook for a while, its very strange, i can go to some sites, some links work, but others do not, i cant click a link to go to avg antivirus, or epson to get printer driver. I dont get an error message either, just sits there. This is a new netbook so cant be a virus, any other ideas. I cant go to firefox either,and i did try the urlmon.dll thing, still no go.
