Comment:

Greetings.

Whenever I click on "Tools," then "Internet Options" in Internet Explorer I get the following message: "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your systems administrator." I am logged on to the administrator account for this machine (there is only one account on the whole machine in fact). Can anyone tell me what setting(s) I need to change?

Thank you in advance for both your time and your consideration!

Ray, If you by chance have Spybot Search & Destroy installed follow the instructions at the link below.

Why can I no longer access my IE settings?

Nope...using Microsoft Anti Spyware. Is this a known issue?

Ray, I don't have Microsoft Anti-Spyware installed but there may be a setting in that program you may have to change to get back your Internet Options.

Ray, If there's no option in the Microsoft Anti-Spyware program go to the link below, click on Win XP Fixes and download the Fix Internet Options Restriction. Instructions are on the download page.
