Try repairing IE by going to Start/Run, and typing in SFC /SCANNOW (note space between "SFC" and "/". Have your XP CD ready, it will ask for it.
I have antispy on my computer, but it's never had to do anything. I routinely use SpyBot and AdAware, and neither has ever brought up a necessary file/folder for deletion. They are very dependable programs.
Do you have SP1 and the updates installed for XP and IE?

unforchinatly i understand little bit more then nothing in computers, so your message doesn't say me much. chould you say it more clearly?
and i have tried to install IE6 it doesn't work. computer says that he has newer vertion of IE so he can not do that.

do you mean that spybot do nothing? i noticed that even after SPYBOT clean & fix the problems nothing change in the computer.
i have to find XP CD first to repair IE. it is not my comp & i've got trouble so i try to fix it & don't want nobody know about that.
whats SP1? and how can i check if i have updates installed for XP and IE?but this computor also working slowly i don't know why, i already made defragmentation & cleaned temp internet files and it still work slowly even when i am not connected to the net.
and one more thing: you know when you make double click on icon the "send-clock" added to the arrow of the mouse. So my arrow always stay in this position, even if i don't do anything, no touch, not open - nothing. and some sites coming up by themselves when i connected. what should i do with all this nasty staf. say me please how to save it.

JohnO !!!! i know whats SP1!!!! it is a new version of IE & it is updates... couse i downloading now updates for windows XP home edition so i saw that SP1 also there.so if downloading will be succesfull i will probably have SP1. hope it will help me to solve the problems.

JohnO ! i had made you said with XP disc - it checked but nothing more happend. so is that mean that all windows files on the right place and there is a different problem?
