can't open in new window in IE

Comment:
the "open in new window" function in IE6 stopped working suddenly for some reason...namely, right clicking on a link and selecting "open in new window" doesn't do anything, nor does holding down shift when clicking the link (which is a shortcut to do the same thing). anyone know what could have caused this and how to fix it? thanks in advance :)

Happened to me also. You have to reinstall Windows XP to fix it. The Windows XP disk contains a newer version of IE6 than what is on the IE site. I initially tried to reinstall IE6 from the web site but got the message that the version I had already installed was a newer one. It finally dawned on me that Microsoft put a newer version of IE6 on the Windows XP CD.

There is a post already up on a fix I found for another person but it is a fix from Microsoft. Easy to do it by going to start then run type cmd to get the XP prompt them type regsvr32 urlmon.dll remember to have the space in the middle or do the mod it talks about. The name of the other post is Subject: XP & internet explorer 6 weird issue
