I've had this "new" pc for 1 month, have spent countless time with HP tech support and I still can't securely login to a few websites, ebay & JC Penney to name 2. I've disabled firewalls, popup blockers, lowered security, d/l Firefox, everything that has been suggested. Can anyone think of anything else I can try? HP is no help at all. thanks.

I presume you've done all your spyware removal already? I had a new HP and it was jammed with that stuff. You may start there and also make sure all your critical up-dates are done.

George,
I feel your pain, here is what you do, open explorer go to tools go to internet options go to the "Advanced Tab" Sroll to the bottom and make sure that the following boxes are checked, USE SSL 2.0 USE SSL 3.0 And uncheck (if checked) USE TLS 1.0 CLOSE EXPLORER REBOOT HOPEFULLY PROBLEM SOLVED!! Hope this helps
