Hi ,
I am having trouble logging my XP Pro SP2 notebook into a Windows Server 2003. Error - "Logon Message - Windows cannot connect to the domain, either because the domain controller is down or otherwise unavailable or because your computer account was not found.......". I have tried connecting the laptop with another cable and a different LAN point and still get the same message. I tried another computer using the same login details (username, password and domain) and it logs on fine although rather slow. When I plug the lan cable into the notebook it says it is connected and acquires the right IP address. The notebook was connecting to the server a few days ago.
Any suggestions ??????

Sounds like you didnt select your domain from the drop down box under your password box on the logon screen or your network cable is unplugged.

Try start/Run and type in netsh int ip reset
This will rebuild the TCP/IP protocol stack

Remove the machine from the Domain and put it back into a workgroup. Reboot. Re-add the client to the Domain, reboot. You should now be able to log into the Domain.
