cant log in to gmail

Specs: Windows Vista
i have forgot my password to my gmail as i stay logged in on my phone but unfortunately i lost my phone last night and when i clicked the forgot password link it prompted to send a sms or automated call to my lost mobile. is there any way of changing it without my phone?

There should also be an option to send to an email address.
If 'send to mobile' was already set up, you may have to select the 'edit' option to change it.

You'll have to enter a few passwords that you normally use & hope you get lucky.

Peet100 - - you can't edit anything on your Gmail account until you log in with the correct password! Catch 22 my friend.

Aagh - foiled again!!

However, you can change a forgotten password via email, as long as it's an alternative email address which is already associated with your Gmail account.

Failing that, it's the old 'security question' test.

And failing that, the last resort would be Gmail's 'Multiple Question Test', as proof of identity.

Or replace the phone (you'll have to do that anyway, won't you?). Since it will have your old account and number, gmail will send the temporary new password message there.
