when installing a prog, i got a "Windows could not load the installer for SCSIAdapter. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance" error.
i used to have 2 things in the device manager SCSI secsion. 1 was a CloneCD virtual drive which i never used. and 1 was MBUltra133, not even sure what that is, but i know it gave me a message in DOS about "MBUltra133 bios is not installed because there are no drivers attached" so i disabled it in BIOS and now there is no SCSI secsion in Device manager at all. Only when i try to install this prog, 1 shows up but not for long cause i get that error and installation doesn't finish.
there is also an error in setupapi.log file right after the failed install.
#E144 Loading module "C:\WINDOWS\System32\SysSetup.Dll" failed. Error 126: The specified module could not be found.
#E161 Processing of call to class installer failed. Error 0xe000020d: The class installer registry entry is invalid.help...

btw, when trying to add hardware manually, i get the same error "could not load installer for..." 1) "hdc" 2)"SCSIAdappter" 3) "taper Drive" 4) "NtApm" and in device manager clicking on Compuet properties brings up error can't load installer for "Computer"
what the hell is all this? i realy would like to avoid re-installing windows cause i'd need to get like a 1000 updates if i did.
also tried sfc /scan (or whatever it is), nothing changes.
