Specs: Windows XP
I installed windows 7 as a dual os with my xp. Due to compatibility issues, i decided to remove the windows 7, so I formatted the drive with 7 in it. Now I receive the dual os option in the boot manager screen. How can I remove this screen so that my xp starts normally.

The message I receive in boot.ini is:
;Warning: Boot.ini is used on Windows XP and earlier operating systems.
;Warning: Use BCDEDIT.exe to modify Windows Vista boot options.

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN /FASTDETECT

Windows Vista and later Windows platform does not understand nor use boot.ini. The simple solution is to reformat the HDD again with Windows XP CD if you plan on reinstalling XP.

Boot to xp cd and try fdisk /mbr. (I think that is it or some other command line command to fix your boot loader)
