can't install Norton Anti Virus on XP

The message is saying "symevent.sys" driver incopatible with winxp. I downloaded recommended driver "sevinst.exe" (380K) but still no success.

If you are trying to install Norton Anti Virus 2001, it won't work in Windows Xp....you have to get 2002. I would recomend getting AVG Anti Virus at www.grisoft.com It's free, works in Xp and is as good if not better than Norton.

NAV 2001 does work with the patch. When you try to install NAV 2001, follow the link to Symantec, downlaod the patch, read the directions and it will work fine.
