I have a problem ...my friend bought a brand new Win XP Home Edition (Not an Upgrade) now I know it boots from the CD-Rom and I went into the BIOS and made it boot from the CD Rom and not the Floppy, but when the computer boots up, it only goes to... saying Boot from CD Rom.... and stays there, is there any other settings I have to change in the Bios????

I just finished installing XP Pro on my system for the second time today. (The first time it installed itself on drive E: instead of C:)
The second time I installed it I wiped out all my partitions and reset them. But I didn't boot up on the CD, I simply inserted the CD in the drive and it started right up. I followed the screens until it finished. The install sequence was exactly like the one where I booted from the CD-ROM. So, you could try that. If it still doesn't start, then you may have a hardware conflict somewhere.
Good luck. HTH :)

Make sure the XP CD is in the drive. Hit a key when it says boot from CD.
