can't hear sound playing a AVI file

The K-Lite codec pack is revised every now and then, so just make sure you've downloaded / installed the very latest version and all should be well. :)
If all else fails, use VLC Media Player to view your movie. VLC isn't as finicky when it comes to required codecs.

Hi, One thing that I ran into was the need of an AC3 filter (I believe it was called). If the title of the movie shows up in red in media player click to see if that is it. Bluejay
