Hi I have recently had a problem with a white box opening after the dektop loads. In it was a folder called IconMgr.exe. After loads of searching and virus checking (apparently I could have had the Java/Byteverify trojun) I was left with nothing to do but delete the folder from the white pop box. BUT...I am still left with the white box that appears as soon as desktop has loaded. It is not in start up in msconfig (have unchecked all boxes one by one etc). It is not in tweak ui. How can I stop it appearing please? Thanks Raspberry

Silly answer first. Have you checked to see if the wallpaper settings have been altered. Stupid I know but its worth a try. Aso a good reistry editor will let you clean out the startup menu so nothing opens that you do not want to. If you have not got one email me and I'll mail one to you. Cheers

Funny you should say that I did change the wallpaper before I got the IconMgr.exe start. Why did that alter things? I would be very grateful for a good registry editor although I hope its self explainatory as I am only a novice!! thanks Eli
