MyWebSearch is part of a group of malware, so in Add/Remove you may find things like 'CursorMania', 'SmileyCentral', 'Zwinky' or 'Webfetti' (plus numerous others), so have a look down your list of programs & see if there are any listed, or others that look suspect (Google them if you find one you want to know about). If there's nothing obvious Malwarebytes will find/remove MyWebSearch programs.

""Search the web for: get rid of my web search""

"I have done that. Nothing works"

There are lots of "hits" when you search using: get rid of my web search""

I've told others to do that previously and they DID find one of them that has a method that works.

CCleaner is set by default to only remove useless registry entries.

In any case, it will not remove registry entries that are not useless, including those put there by malware or something that is simply annoying, unless it recognizes it and you can custom select whatever it is in CCleaner's non-default settings, so you can delete it's registry entries.

Guaranteed results. Turn off your antivirus before running this

Combo fix will get rid of it, some folks warn you to extra careful, but i have used it a million times without error unless it simply did not function on the machine. Give it a shot I know it gets rid of that.

4. Reboot your computer
5. Download HijackThis.
Launch the HijackThis and click "Do a system scan only" button. Select all such entries as shown below in and click once on the "Fix checked" button. Close HijackThis tool.

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware ( MBAM ) Use Quick scan.
If your MBAM log indicates "No action taken." That's usually a result of NOT clicking the Remove Selected button after the scan.
