Hello. I must have gotton a bundled download and now have My Search toolbar on Internet Explorer which has destroyed the original search engine (What are you looking for with the little doggie on the bottom). I have gone to add/remove programs and done that; I have gone to the mysearch.com site and tried to "change as the default" and that just refers me to a searchlocate.com site. I have called my IE company and they say nothing can do. I have run spysweeper version 2.6 three times and still cannot get rid of the bugger. Can anyone help? Thanks much

Install, update and run both Adware and SpyBot S+D, also do a virus scan on it
I manually delete the folders in Program Files, then clean the Registry with RegScrub XP
Hope this helps

The best way to do get rid of it is simply going to view (while i.e. is open) toolbars and unchecking the damn thing. You can also uninstall and then reinstall i.e. that too should get rid of it. Within the add/remove programs click on add/remove windows components within there, there should be something for i.e., then restart and then undo the changes you just made and restart again. You can also revert back do an earlier stage with windows "system restore" (pending you have not turned the application off). simply pick a date before the "my search bar" was installed, relize that anythig that yu have done since then will be lost. The final thing you can do is go into sys regedit, but do not do that casue you always run the risk of crashing your computer

I believe cwshredder will get it. Also install spywareblaster. It wont kill anything but stops reinfection.
