Can't get Nook tablet set up at home

November 25, 2012 at 15:18:35
Specs: Windows XP, Intel Celeron D 3.33GHz
My grandson set up a router on my computer. I can't hook up to the Nook Tablet I just bought. Reset password on Charter Cable service but password didn't work. What password do I need? Don't know the passwork on my computer if that's what I need. Tried a passwork I had written for the couter but still wouldn't go through. Can I reset passwords on computer or router? Which password do they need?

If you are asking how to connect the Nook to your Wi-Fi, then you need the password to the security key on your router. Your computer has nothing to do with it.

You may want to temporarily turn off security encryption on your router for testing purposes, then try to connect. If you can connect, then you know it's just a matter of getting the right password. If it doesn't connect, then you may need to update your routers firmware. Some routers seem to have issues with connecting cell phones and tablets with older firmware. You may want to ask your grandson for help with this.
