Can't get Gateway online with XP

So, I just bought a Gateway (GT5476E)
The first thing I did was reformat, get rid of Vista and put XP Pro on it. However, I come to find out there doesn't appear to be any network, audio and video drivers for XP so right now I have no audio, bad graphics, and can't get online with it. I looked around the web to find some way to get the computer working with XP but had no luck..
Am I'm going to have to force myself to use the POS better known as Vista.. or is there some way to get it working?

Why in the world didn't you buy a computer with WinXP on it to start with. You may have an uphill climb getting things to work. There might be drivers available. Go to gateway and see if there are any WinXP drivers for that model. You may need to use generic drivers. http://support.gateway.com/support/...

Hey there,
I bought the same machine and did the same thing as you. This is what you want to do to get all the drivers for XP:
- Go to www.nvidia.com and download the following to get graphics, system and network up to speed: = Graphics Driver - GeForce 6 Series = Platform / nForce Drivers - nForce 430/410/405/400
- Go to www.realtek.com.tw and download the HD Audio Codec driver.
You should be good to go. I didn't install the modem driver... but from what I gather, it is a Conexant SmartHSF4 V.92 Soft PCI DF with SmartCP modem.
