i made changes to my computer using msconfig. i can't find most of my files now including system restore. also do i have to be an administrator to use system restore?
You can start System Restore from the MSCONFIG screen (button at the bottom) or from the 'run' command type: %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

You must be logged as any admin account to perform restoration...
i tried to get into system restore by what was suggested and it states it can't find file for either system restore or msconfig. i really screwed up bad this time.
I made system changes in the Safe-Mode once to do a spyware scan.
I found then that the only way I could get back into msconfig was in the Command Prompt and type:C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\Binaries\msconfig.exe
