Two of our Windows XP Pro machines got offline messages. The internet access is still available to these two machines but both can't find folders from the file server.
May anyone help?

Can you ping the server from the machine? Have you tried remapping to the shares?

i had a similar problem with file sharing on my 2 pc's the whay i got it to work was like this -

First off all make sure you know the name of the other pc your trying to connect to
you can do this by right clicking my computer and where it says full computer name it will give u the name of the other pc.
Got to search in the task bar then go to files and folders. Select computers or people then choose computer on the network,
a box will appear for the computer name, type it in and then it should show up the other computers connected to the network, now u can drag it out the window to your desktop and click on it, if you have set up shared folders these should appear in there. Hope this helps.
