Did you save them to the same disc? Or did you save them to the cdrw drive? A lot of difference in the two so you really need to expound on this post a little better. The problerrm being that if you saved other files and burned them to disc then tried to burn more files to same disc, you have lost youir files.
While there is a way to do multiple burns on the same disc... it is more than likely that you burned the first set and then sealed the disc so that there could be no more copying on that disc and any further burns would not show unless you prepaired the disc to be rewritten in which case you would have lost the first set of files because you would have burned over them when you copied the second set. You should have been prompted about either case though.More than likely you have used a 1 time recordable disc and then tried to burn twice on it.
hope this helped

You have lost your files. In order to save a second session to a disk you must "import" the previous session and then burn the subsequent files as a second session. If you finalised the disk then you will be unable to import sessions or write to the disk a second time.

The best way for you to do this is to use either DirectCD or InCD. This allows you to use the CD-RW as a giant "floppy."

I don't understand why so many people have trouble with this or a variation of this issue. I use CD-RWs all the time, and can copy, paste, edit, delete many things one day, and more things the next, etc., etc. In other words, it behaves exactly like a hard drive or floppy. This can be done with a program like Roxio's Easy CD creator, using Direct CD. Some say it can't be done, but it can. Read up on Direct CD, DLA, UDF, etc.

thanks for the suggestions, as you can see i'm rather new to computers, useing win 98 and nero i can burn jpg's on a cdrw and go back many times to view them and record/save by checking volumes on the cd all jpg's can be viewed. whilst useing win xp i did not use nero just the xp programe. dose that mean i can't do the same thing useing only the win xp. i did note that after i saved the new jpg's to the same cdrw disk only a few of the previously saved jpg' files were missing and none i the newley saved files can be found on the cdrw disk. am i doing something wrong or is it just that i don't know how to view previous volumes. many thanks for any suggestions.

XP uses avariation of the Roxio product. When you save to a CD-R or CD-RW using XP it automatically leaves the session open so that you can add more files but you cannot erase or alter files... for this you must use InCD or DirectCD.
