When I click a file in a webpage an audio player opens in IExplorer window and file plays but I want to know where those files are on my system so I can save them for future use.

mmt, when it plays (if the file's on your computer), note the file suffix (.wav, etc.) and perform a search for that type file. Chances are, all your sound files live in the same folder. Explore.
On the other hand, if the file's part of the webpage you're visiting you may need to download it to your machine (ripper?).
