when i boot my box, i get the following error message:
could not load or run 'D:\Setup.exe' specified in the registry. Make sure the file exists on yor computer or remove the reference to it in the registry.
2 things i did recently: 1. installed MS updates 2. add/removed printer software and reinstalled (i used a cd to do this)
here's my question: how do i get rid of this irritating message that pops every time i boot? this is the part that interests me: "or remove the reference to it in the registry." thx in adv

Go to Start/Run. Type regedit and click ok. Do a search for d:\setup.exe. If you find it, delete it.

thanks, ham30, the regedit action worked. I had to do it twice! the first time i typed d:\etc.(small d) and it didn't stop the "can't find..." message at restart, but then i used D:\etc. and deleted and shut down and when i turned on the box, no more evil message! thanks for the help.
