I have the following problem:
I'm using win xp and now my hard drive is nearly full. so i wanted to delete some data.
when i searched for the places were all the data was i found out that there are 40GB of data in the following folder:
c:\dokumente und einstellungen\Admin
When i now open this folder there are 7 more folders inside:
COOKIES;DESKTOP;WINDOWS;EIGENE DATEIEN; FAVORITEN;USER DATA STARTMENÜ.
When I now add all the data of these folders there are just 20GB inside.
So can anybody tell me maybe where all the other 20GB of data are ??? I can't find them.
Thanks to anybody who posts a reply.

000ps maby you have hidden files. but i have never heard of a folder thats been 40 GB before ????!!!:o!~@}{!
to show hidden files open explorer (not internet explorer) go to
tools>folder options> then clikc the view tab. find the thingi that sais hidden files and click it to SHOW!

The folder you are talking about is your user folder. Its where Windows XP stores information for a user. Everthing that you put into My Documents / User Data / Desktop is placed in that directory. It would be very easy for a user to put that much data in their folder.

Go to Start, Search, All Files and Folders, Click What Size is it?, tip Specify size in KB, type into the right little window for example 20000 and Search. This will list all your files over 20 MB. This way you can find all your large files. From here you can choose those to delete.
Cheers de Peter
