Can't Download EXE files...

I had this problem.Took me ages to solve Have you got a virus scanner installed. I had Norton Virus installed which had been working for ages withno problems. I turned if off and hey presto EXE files would now download. Turn it on and they wouldn't. If you've got one try turning it off and see what happens. I now use McAfee which has no problems.
