i have a folder called "Stevie B..." (that's right, do you all remember 80's freestyle remixes?) and i can't delete it. i get a message that reads "can not read from source file or disk" or "refers to a location that is unavailible" when i try to open the folder. The folder says it's empty in properties, but there should be 1 file inside. i've tried running scan disk, but i still can't delete it. i can't delete any of the outer folders either. any suggestions?Response Number 1

I tried that too, but my drive is NTFS not FAT or FAT 32. The startup disk won't recognize the drive. If I partition the drive, then it will only recognize the partitioned part, and not the part that I need. Any other suggestion would be much appriciated :-)Response Number 6

same thing, still can't delete....

You can try booting to the xp recovery console and delete it that way. Just like DOS, same commands almost

I remember the stevie b, johnny o days.. "one more try".. Matter of fact i have a folder for both..
HipHop ruined freestyle !
Not helping here so im out.

safe mode doesn't work, still can't get in the folder. I tried recovery console, and i can't access the folder. it's under C: and the access is denied even though i'm logged in as the administrator. formatting probably would work, but let's get realistic for a momment.... lol
