Comment:

I have a file (a p2p download) that can not be
removed and which executes a program when I
click on it to remove it. The program attempts to
hijack my browwser and really screws it up.
Restore sets it back but tthe file remains. I tried
resetting restore and doing a scan....same deal...

Any advice?

Charlie

Add'l info: I was lucky that it dowloaded to a
folder, as it has a very explicit name to the file and
would be a real problem if on my desktop. I
isolated it to a folder in my documents and as long
as I don't click on it (even to hioghlight it) I'm fine.

try deleting in safe mode. or try a tool such as move on boot. this can be found on google.
also try spybot or adaware for spyware.
