I have two empty folders in my Program Files directory that I can't delete. They look like ordinary folders, but there is nothing in them except other folders. Their names are "microsoft frontpage" and "xerox". I use Frontpage, but it is not located in this directory. I have no idea where the "xerox" directory came from. Can anyone help me delete these folders or tell my how they got there. I just recently did a clean install on a new hard disk.

I don't know where it come from but to delete them click on the folder with th RIGHT click then choose delete after that empty your recycle bin. You can check if they are in ADD/Remove programm goto control panel then ADD/Remove if it's there click on it & delete.

They are both Installed by Ms Office - even when you don't actually have those Components
