Cant create Compaq recovery disc

Help needed. I can't seem to create a recovery disc for my compaq presario B1900. Everytime I do the PC Recovery Disc Creator - everything works fine until I insert my DVD-R into it and it comes up with Disc writing process aborted for all Discs.
Please help on how I can create my discs. Thanks in advance.
BTW do not ask me to purchase a recovery discs from HP because we dont have this type of service here in Malaysia. HP Malaysia only offers to wipe out my notebook entirely.

I have not created any recovery CD before but want to this time around but I just couldnt. I followed the instructions in the link using PC Recovery Tools : Creating Recovery CD/DVD and the message I got was : "Disc writing process aborted for all Discs."
Could it be that something is corrupted that I cannot create a recovery CD?
