Can't Copy Files From XP CD

I have been trying to install IIS from my windows xp professional cd and it just can not copy the files. When installing a box pops up asking me to point the installer to the directory of the files (i386 folder), so i go to browse and it shows the file that its lookin for right there but when i choose that file it still doesnt copy and acts as if its not there... i have tried copying the whole i386 directory to my computer and then installing it from there but it has the same problem.... any ideas? i also tried using cmd.exe to decompress the files from the cd and then use those but it didnt work either....thanks

might try logging in as admin and copy. might try safe mode admin and copy.

i am the only user on this computer...how would i log in as admin in normal or safe mode?
