Can't control-alt-delete?

A few months ago I got a virus (Klez-e?). I got rid of it, but now whenever I press "control-alt-delete" (Or Control+Shift+Escape) nothing happens.
Anyone know how to fix something like that? (I have Windows XP home edition)
I searched this site and found someone had a similar problem:
Can you right-click the task-bar at the bottom of your desktop. In XP Pro, there is a link to Task Manager listed there. I don't know about the HOME version.
