Some ground work before I get into the problem I'm having on my "Main PC." I switched from modem to DSL, and at this point went with the free AOL. Those of you who are familiar will know that there was no difference except no payments to AOL. All was great for about nine months.
I am in the habit of leaving the PC on and me signed in. This morning I had been knocked off line. All efforts to sign back on failed. The AOL software even went thru the process of "fixing" the connection (several times) also failing. I even went so far as to download a new version of AOL, installed it, and had the same results. I went into my work space and fired up a PC there, all working well. I can sign on and off under several screennames.
Would very much appreciate your help. I know I can sign on to AOL thru IE, "My AOL",however, I prefer the direct "old fashion" way.
