cant charge battery

Specs: Windows Vista
I had it checked before I bought a new charger . . . thank goodness cause it's the jack . . . how do i fix it?

If it is the jack itself then I suggest that you send it to a laptop repair station or back to the manufacturer for service as the jack will have to be removed and replaced......note.....this could also be an indication as to having a broken motherboard as the jack is hard mounted to the mobo!

It depends on what Laptop you have. some of the newer ones have a small Printed Circuit Board that includes the USB Port and the charger Plug. Some MFG's finally got smart and separated the Power Adapter plug from the Motherboard.

Post the make & model # of your Laptop.
