hey i recently installed Easy Desktop Keeper to keep my brother from changing my wallpaper.
well i forgot the password for the program
i couldnt change my wallpaper
so i uninstalled Easy Desktop Keeper(manually, i didnt delete anything in my registry) hoping i could access the Display once again
but i still cantevery time i right click and go to properties or go to control panel it says:
"your system administrator has disabled the display of the control panel"help?

first, check your profile to see if your a system admin.
if you are, re-install the program and uninstall it correctly
then create urself a password protected account for both you and your brother.
if you're not, log in as "administrator" and change the privelege to "administrator."
you can access this from start ---> control panel ---> user accounts ---> advanced then at the bottom check the "requires users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete" box.
- what this will do is bring up the old classic "please type in your name and password" interface.hope that helps

do you have a restore point back to before you installed the software, if so you might try that and see if it corrects it. you could also try reinstalling the program and setting another password.

i am admin because i am only profile on my comp.(other than the admin on safe mode
i had to uninstall maunally because you had to use password to
"you can access this from start ---> control panel ---> user accounts ---> advanced then at the bottom check the "requires users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete" box."
i dont have the advanced option

i reinstalled the application and locked the desktop again then unlocked it
it worked!
the 3rd time the friendly Computing.net users have helped me
thanks guys!
